4 TX Forms for Different Types of Properties
There are four main types of bill of sale forms in Texas. Let’s look at what each of them covers and what information they contain.
1. Vehicle bill of sale
You will need this form when buying or selling any vehicle in the state of Texas.
It legitimizes your sale or purchase of a vehicle. In a vehicle bill of sale, the following information is specified:

2. Trailer bill of sale
A trailer bill of sale proves the change of trailer ownership. You can also sell it with the boat by making one common bill of sale, which is very convenient.
You are required to specify:
- Trailer Information
- Transaction value
- Information about the boat or motor vehicle.
3. Boat bill of sale
If you decide to sell only the boat, you also need a bill of sale or Form PWD-143. Include the following data in the form:
- All important information about the boat
- Boat ID and brand
- Information about the participants of the transaction
- Transaction amount
- Date of the transaction
- Signatures of two parties.
4. Firearm bill of sale
As many people know, Texas laws do not restrict the registration of firearms; respectively, a firearm bill of sale is not required in this case.
The majority of these forms contains these details:
- Caliber and brand of firearms
- License numbers for concealed weapons
- Transaction amount
- Date
- Signatures
- Affidavit.
